Plastic Ocean Project Fundraiser

A good time is always close by when we spend time with waterman, environmentalist, shaper, and all around good dude, Jason Andre...

Shaping Up To Benefit Plastic Ocean Project

We're fortunate to live in a place that lets us make a phone call to a guy like waterman Jason Andre, and say something along the lines of, “hey man, we just got our hands on our new Fall ’25 collection and we’d love for you to put it through the product testing paces and give us your input” - and get an answer like, “Sure. I’m shaping a 5’10” twin fin at Savard Beer & Board as a guest shaper next week. When it’s done we’re going to raffle it off, and give all of the dough to Plastic Ocean Project. Wanna tag along and document the progress?”

What It Takes...

Watching Jason’s process gave us a deeper insight into the surfboard shaping tools, supplies, and mindset it takes to turn a block of fiberglass foam into nothing short of a work of riding and gliding art.

A Passion For Keeping Plastics Out Of The Ocean

We also learned more about Jason’s passion for educating the public on the importance of keeping plastics out of the ocean. His work as a boardmember at Plastic Ocean Project is just the tip of the iceberg. As a guy that spends every second he can in the Atlantic, he is all too familiar with the realities of how plastic affects big, blue, beautiful backyard.

You Can Help

If you’d like to help the Plastic Ocean Project educate the public, and evacuate plastics from our delicate ecosystems AND get the chance to win Jason’s hand shaped custom twin fin, go join the raffle here.
